Job Title: Digital Content Creator

Responsible to: Group Marketing Manager 

Salary: Competitive  

Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week over 5 days - Monday to Friday. Due to nature of the role the successful candidate may be required to work some late nights and weekends when required.  We may consider 2 x part-time positions for the role. 

 

Location: Your base will be Moores of Coleraine and White House, Portrush 

 

Job Purpose: We are seeking a creative and commercially minded Digital Content Creator to manage and grow our social media presence across our department stores. This role will also support the creation of engaging content for our website, ensuring a consistent brand presence across all digital touchpoints. The successful candidate will plan, create and deliver content that supports brand values, drives customer engagement and contributes to overall marketing performance. 

The role is primarily focused on our two Northern Ireland stores however support may be required at time for our stores in Wales and Jersey. Responsibilities may evolve in line with business needs, and the successful candidate will be adaptable and eager to develop their skills. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and deliver creative, commercially focused social media strategies aligned to brand and marketing objectives. 
  • Manage day-to-day activity across social platforms, primarily Facebook and Instagram, tailoring content by platform and audience. 
  • Plan, create and publish high-quality multimedia content including photography, video, reels, stories, graphics and copy. 
  • Create and update engaging content for the company website, ensuring consistency in tone, messaging and visual identity. 
  • Use sales trends, insights and store priorities to inform content planning and performance improvement. 
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, brand partners, influencers and community figures. 
  • Encourage and guide colleagues across departments to contribute to content creation. 
  • Manage and engage online communities, responding to comments and messages to enhance customer experience. 
  • Monitor, analyse and report on performance using tools such as Meta Insights, and Google Analytics, turning data into actionable recommendations. 
  • Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates and digital best practices. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Buying, Store Management, Design and VM teams to support campaigns, promotions and seasonal activity. 
  • Design digital artwork where required and brief the graphic designer on additional artwork needs. 

 

Essential Experience & Skills 

  • Proven experience in a digital marketing or social media role within a commercial environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, content formats, algorithms and best practices. 
  • Experience creating and managing website content using platforms such as WordPress or similar CMS. 
  • Confident in content creation, including photography, videography and editing, with experience using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and CapCut or similar.  
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting performance data and applying insights. 
  • Excellent copywriting, proofreading and communication skills. 
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). 

Personal Attributes 

  • Creative, confident and adaptable. 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently. 
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced retail environment. 

 

Additional Requirements 

  • Full clean driving licence with access to own transport. 
  • Willingness to travel between stores and support centre for content creation and meetings. 

 

Desirable 

  • Retail sector experience. 
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a marketing-related role. 
  • Advanced photography skills or experience building websites. 

 

The core hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, however there will be a requirement to work evenings and weekends to suit the needs of the business.  Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will be either based in stores, working from home does not apply to this position.
